Get The Crumbs Out From Down The Side Of The Seat

Sick of looking at the same crumbs down the side of the seat because the vacuum head won't fit in there? This is a slim wand with a long, flat nozzle on the end, and that shape is the point of it. It is small, and it pulls harder than you would think. It goes down between the seat and the console, along the seat rails and around the edges of the carpet. Three speeds sit under your thumb, and low does most of the work. When you have finished, one press drops the dirt out of the cup and into the bin.

Swap the nozzle over, and it blows air out instead, which is how the dust comes off the dash and out of the vents. The small nozzle blows a pool toy up. The same tool pulls the air out of a vacuum bag as well, so two jumpers go flat before they go in your suitcase. You charge it over USB-C with the cable in the box. It is white, a plain slim tube with a clear cup at the top so you can see what you have picked up, and a green strip on the button that shows the charge. It lives in the car instead of the cupboard.

Your vacuum does the mats and then stops. The head is too wide for the channel beside the seat, so the crumbs from the school run stay where they are, and you see them when you get in.

The nozzle is flat and narrow enough to go into that channel rather than skate over it. Work it along the rails, into the console tray, and down the sides of the boot. The bits you have been looking at for months come out.

Does it actually pick things up, or is it just good advertising?

It picks up crumbs, dust, leaves, loose sand off the mat and the grit in the seat rails. What it will not do is clean a whole car the way a big vacuum does. It is the second vacuum, for the bits your first one misses.

How long does it run for on one charge?

It depends on which speed you use, so one number would only mislead you. Low is the everyday setting for mats, seats, and the console. High is there for the patch that will not shift. You pick per job rather than run it flat out.

Will it get the dog hair out of the back seat?

Surface hair off the seat and the boot liner, yes. A heavy shedder's coat worked down into the weave is a different job, and this is not the tool for it. Run the brush nozzle over the seat first, and you will lift more.

Will it get the sand out of my car mats?

Loose sand sitting on top of the mat, yes, and that is most of it after the beach. Sand that has been walked into the carpet for a season needs airflow. This tool does not provide it. Shake your mats out first.

How much does that little cup hold before I am emptying it?

It holds 0.1 litres, which is small, so expect to empty it as you go round the car. That is one press of the button over the bin. The cup is clear, so you can see it filling before it stops picking up.

I can just use the vacuum at the servo. Why do I need this?

The servo one is a drive, a queue, and a hose someone else just used, and it only happens when you remember. This one is in the car already, so the school run mess gets dealt with in the car park, not next Saturday.

How do I clean it?

Empty the cup after each go rather than letting the dirt pack down in it. One press does that over the bin. Wipe the cup and the nozzles with a dry cloth, and do not run water through the body of the unit.
